Drawing on tools described in Chris Johnstone’s book Seven Ways to Build Resilience, this two-part online workshop for therapists (two half-days, a week apart) focuses on practical insights and evidence-based strategies both to use ourselves and to pass on to those we work with. We will look at what helps us as practitioners protect our own wellbeing when facing work pressures that include exposure to distressing material our clients may bring. We’ll also look at ways of supporting resilience in our clients as they work with and through challenging experiences, both in their lives, and in the journey of therapy.
